Artvirgin, or a 35 year old arting at a 6th-grade level.

I’ve always been intimidated and jealous of visual artists. I could shoot the ball, get the girl, play the solo, or say the line, but I could never draw, paint or scribble. My high school art teacher gave up and let me trace, that’s how terrible I am.

In the spirit of re-inventing, redefining, and possibly re-alligning myself, I’ve committed to doing one piece a week for the rest of the year. But if I do one a month, or one really awesome thing, I’ll be happy with that too.

Art and design being what they are, where do I start? Do I start saving my nail clippings now? Do I buy any art supplies? Join me as I explore the artistic process and find the answers to these and other questions here on tumblr.
